Position: Torch Burner Role at ABC Recycling
ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking motivated Torch Burners for our Burnaby, B.C. location. Utilize oxy/propane-fueled cutting torches to handle oversized scrap metal, shaping it for market use while prioritizing safety.

In this physically demanding position, you will engage in cutting operations that focus on oversized materials. We value strong work ethic and eagerness to learn; therefore, prior torch experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Flexibility for offsite work and travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Layout scrap materials safely for operations

• Establish and maintain torch setups

• Accurately cut metal pieces following specifications

• Ensure compliance with fire safety guidelines

• Effectively communicate with coworkers

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal skills are a must

• Higher physical dexterity and stamina needed

• Background in operating bobcats and forklifts beneficial

• Strong attention to detail with safety emphasis

• Flexibility for varying work hours and travel
