Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed the Globe® Pulsed Field System. We have obtained FDA approval and officially begun the commercial launch. This is a pivotal and exciting time as we bring this life‑changing technology to patients.

This hybrid role is located in Burnaby, BC and provides senior level strategic leadership and oversight for all Kardium manufacturing sites. You will drive operational excellence, maximize efficiency and productivity, and ensure a safe working environment.

Core Responsibilities

Direct and mentor the team of Plant or Senior Manufacturing Managers across all sites, coaching to improve operational excellence

Develop long‑range operating plans and strategies and drive initiatives to achieve production growth and commercialization goals

Build a collaborative, high‑performance culture across all sites, focusing on employee engagement, succession planning, and workforce development

Standardize workforce training programs to deliver quality and consistency across manufacturing operations

Provide budgetary responsibility and oversight for manufacturing workforce

Drive continuous improvement programs using Lean, Kaizen, etc., to improve productivity and stability

Work closely with Planning, Supply Chain, and Inventory & Logistics to optimize scheduling, manufacturing efficiency, and inventory levels

Set and monitor key performance indicators (OEE, Utilization, Variance Analysis) to evaluate site performance and implement corrective actions

Champion a safety‑first culture and ensure compliance with all local environment, health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field

Minimum 10 years in a senior manufacturing or operations leadership role

Proven experience scaling manufacturing from low to high commercial volumes

Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement and operational scaling strategies

Previous experience in ISO
13485 or AS9100 regulated industries is strongly preferred

Experience managing a cleanroom manufacturing environment is an asset

Experience developing workforce training and capability programs for production teams

Excellent analytic, strategic thinking, and operational planning skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong collaboration at all levels

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range:  $180,000 – $245,000 CAD annually  (plus 5% RRSP contribution). As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
