Yard Labourer with Customer Service Focus

Located 20 km south of Whitehorse, our facility is searching for a dedicated Yard Labourer. The role combines customer assistance with material sorting and processing duties. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn about scrap metal grades and the recycling process in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with unloading and operational inquiries

• Sort and grade metals for effective recycling

• Operate machinery and perform processing tasks

• Ensure yard is organized and safe for all activities

• Participate in housekeeping duties and other tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Strong reliability and punctuality are essential

• Capability to lift heavy materials, up to 50 lbs

• Strong English speaking and writing skills

• CSA approved steel-toed footwear compliance

• Experience with metal recycling is an advantage
