Supervisor – Advertising and Sponsorship role at City of Burnaby
This position works in the PRC Enterprise Services organizational unit. This is specialized community and partner relations work in leading the development of sponsorship and digital billboard advertising strategies to support City facilities, events and programs. An incumbent secures and oversees sponsor ships and digital billboard advertising agreements to generate revenue; assists with preparing the department partnership/sponsorship plan and budget; administers contracts, ensuring delivery of obligations and compliance with City policies and standards;
act as City’s primary representative to sponsors, advertisers and corporate partners; coordinates, directs and monitors vendor performance to ensure delivery of high quality advertising services; and provides guidance and supervision to staff and contractors involved in sponsorship activations and advertising work. Oversees the City’s digital advertising billboard assets; develops comprehensive digital advertising strategies and pricing structures to maximize revenue. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications include a diploma or university graduation in marketing, business administration, communications or related field plus sound related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Considerable knowledge of sponsorship and digital billboard advertising strategies, methods, practices, principles, techniques, equipment, software and materials as they relate to work performed. Ability to plan, develop and evaluate sponsorship and digital advertising strategies to support departmental goals and objectives;
prepare and monitor budgets related to the work; prepare and maintain a variety of reports, records, correspondence and other resource material related to the work; assign, review and supervise the work of subordinates and oversee the work of vendors and contractors. A Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is required.
