Communications and Engagement Specialist

You will oversee the planning and execution of marketing communications across all City departments. Responsibilities include researching, developing, and evaluating communications and engagement projects while addressing community-sensitive issues. Your ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners will be essential to foster successful public engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and coordinate comprehensive public engagement strategies
• Write and edit various communication materials
• Plan and implement community consultation activities
• Anticipate and address emerging communication trends
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and city officials
Requirements:
• Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline
• Significant experience in communications or public engagement
• Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• BC Driver’s Licence necessary
