Communications and Engagement Specialist

In this specialized role, you will develop and implement marketing and engagement strategies across City departments. You will conduct research and craft materials that address sensitive public issues while collaborating with various stakeholders. Your writing and editing skills are key to successful communication with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate public consultation initiatives
• Research and edit communication materials effectively
• Develop public engagement marketing strategies
• Maintain effective relationships within and outside the Department
• Evaluate projects and stay aware of emerging issues
Requirements:
• Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or similar
• In-depth experience in communications and public engagement
• Knowledge of relevant principles and requirements
• Proven ability to write and communicate effectively
• Valid British Columbia Driver’s Licence required
