Communications Lead

Position: City Communications Lead
Lead communications and public engagement efforts with the City of Burnaby, enhancing community relationships through innovative marketing strategies. This position focuses on impactful public consultations.

As a Communications Lead, you will manage the planning and evaluation of various public engagement initiatives, ensuring effective communication across all city departments. The role requires a solid background in Communications, Marketing, or related fields, along with the ability to write compelling content and foster stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement strategic communication plans

• Evaluate effectiveness of public engagement initiatives

• Write, edit, and produce a range of communication materials

• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners

• Identify and address public issues and trends

Requirements:

• Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations

• In-depth knowledge of communication methods and practices

• Proven experience in developing marketing strategies

• Effective communication skills across multiple platforms

• Valid Driver’s Licence in British Columbia
