Join the communications team at Douglas College as a Student Assistant, focusing on creating impactful content for various platforms. This hybrid role is ideal for innovative and motivated students.

As a Student Assistant within the Faculty of Language, Literature, Performing Arts, and Humanities and Social Sciences, you will collaborate with faculty to produce social media posts, newsletters, and event coverage. Bring your creativity and skills in design software to support various initiatives throughout the semester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop original content for newsletters and social media

• Capture engaging photos and videos during events

• Help coordinate interviews with students and faculty

• Assist with creating a semester-long social media strategy

• Work alongside administrative staff on content-related projects

Requirements:

• Experience with Instagram content, including posts and reels

• Knowledge of Canva or similar design tools

• Interest in photography and videography

• Strong public speaking and teamwork skills

• Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
