Position: Senior Communications Role
Transform BC Housing's media strategy as a Senior Communications Specialist located in Burnaby, BC. Oversee issues management, write compelling stories, and enhance public relations efforts.

This full-time, short-term position reports to the Media Relations and Issues Management Manager. You will play a pivotal role in managing media relations, crafting strategic communications, and supporting both staff and executive teams during critical events. Your expertise in public engagement will significantly bolster BC Housing's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute media relations and communication strategies

• Handle media inquiries and produce compelling story pitches

• Coordinate and plan communication-related events

• Create engaging content for internal and external audiences

• Support the strategic communications team with administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Advanced diploma in communications or public engagement

• Substantial experience in media relations and communications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to handle pressure and prioritize effectively
