Job SummaryBring your clinical expertise, dedication, and passion for providing quality and compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the context of team based and consultative care at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) in New Westminster, B.C. We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Electrophysiology Consult Service team. The EP NP model is a collaborative, co-managed, team-based approach to patient care, where the Electrophysiologists remain MRP or consultant of the patients.
The NP works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a consultative capacity with a coordinated approach to ensure safe, quality, effective, and timely care for patients. The NP will work Monday to Wednesday (9.375 hours/day) excluding weekends and statutory holidays. This position supports better management of patient volumes with complex co-morbidities, efficient resource utilization, and enhanced cardiac care during increased demand.
Royal Columbian Hospital is BC’s oldest hospital and a busy tertiary facility offering specialized acute care services including electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and related areas.
New Westminster is located in the Greater Vancouver region with waterfront views and proximity to Vancouver and the USA.

Examples of in-house residency rotations:
Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology, Atrial Fibrillation clinic, and Heart function clinics in the FH region, etc. You will participate in a clinical enhancement program with in-house skill development (12-lead ECG interpretation, point-of-care ultrasound, suturing, x-ray interpretation) and be welcomed into a New Graduate NP Community of Practice to support transition to independent practice.

Education and Experience
Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
