Become a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse in Perinatal care at Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, B.C. This role focuses on maternal and newborn nursing assessments and emergency interventions.
We are seeking a skilled nurse with recent clinical perinatal experience to join our maternity team temporarily until September 2027. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Your expertise in perinatal nursing will be crucial for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for patients and unborn babies
• Collaborate with families, physicians, and care teams on care plans
• Coordinate nursing care and referrals according to standards
• Teach patients and families about pregnancy and newborn care
• Document assessments and interventions per practice standards
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
• Current registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse
• One year of recent clinical perinatal nursing experience
• Basic Rescuer (Level
C) and NRP Certificates
• Ability to promote empathy and patient-centered care
