Operating Room Registered Nurse - Cardiac Focus

Location: new westminster

Join the team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. as an Operating Room Registered Nurse, where you’ll provide critical nursing care for cardiac patients during surgical procedures.
In this specialized nursing position, you will perform essential scrub and circulating duties while working closely with the surgical team.

Your role is vital to ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe throughout their surgical experience while adhering to established nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and plan individual patient care needs

• Coordinate patient admissions and surgical schedules

• Ensure instruments and equipment are available and functioning

• Participate in safety protocols and quality improvements

• Provide mentorship to nursing staff and students
Requirements:

• Registered Nurse certification with BCCNM

• At least one year of clinical nursing experience

• Completed postgraduate coursework in relevant fields

• Demonstrated ability in emergency situation management

• Excellent communicator within a healthcare environment
