Provide empathetic patient care at Royal Columbian Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit in New Westminster, B.C. Focus on critical recovery and detailed assessment.
In this important nursing role, you'll specialize in helping patients transition from anesthesia to recovery, ensuring their safety and comfort. You will assess patients systematically and communicate effectively with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, adjusting care plans based on individual needs. Your expertise in IV therapy and emergency response will be invaluable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate post-anesthetic patient status
• Deliver nursing care as per established protocols
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to adapt care plans
• Ensure a therapeutic and safe nursing environment
• Mentor and support new nursing staff and students
Requirements:
• Approved School of Nursing graduation
• Current registration with the BCCNM
• Minimum one year of relevant clinical experience
• Completion of specialized certification in nursing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
