Become an essential part of the nursing team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. as a Nurse in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit. This role is vital for supporting patients in their recovery after surgery.
As a Post Anaesthetic Care Nurse, you will assess, plan, and deliver direct care for patients transitioning from anesthesia. You will work closely with Physicians and other healthcare professionals, focusing on both immediate care and long-term recovery strategies. Your ability to manage pressures and ensure patient safety will be crucial in delivering exemplary healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients recovering from anesthesia

• Provide critical care per established protocols

• Collaborate with the health care team for patient care

• Document nursing care and patient outcomes accurately

• Maintain a safe environment for patients
Requirements:

• Completion of an approved Nursing program

• Registered Nurse status with BCCNM required

• Minimum one year of relevant clinical experience

• Competency in intravenous therapy

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
