In this key role in the Older Adult – Acute Care for Elders unit, you will draw on your nursing expertise to assess, plan, and provide care to acutely ill elderly patients. The position emphasizes integrated teamwork and the importance of patient advocacy, focusing on respect, dignity, and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess elderly patients within acute care settings
• Collaborate with families to develop care strategies
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
• Document assessments and nursing interventions accurately
• Educate patients and families on health topics
Requirements:
• Graduated from an approved Nursing program
• Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses
• Minimum one year acute care experience preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple nursing tasks
