Salary The salary range for this position is CAD $60.75 - $87.33 / hour
Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our pediatric orthopedic services team supporting Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) and Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) in British Columbia. As an NP, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical management and care coordination to patients in collaboration with the attending surgeon(s) and interprofessional team.

- Diagnose and treat patients for undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions within scope; write orders for treatment and medications; provide first‑line care in emergencies.
- Monitors ongoing care, orders appropriate screening diagnostics, interprets reports, analyzes information to monitor progress and plan treatment.
- Establishes priorities for health management, provides follow‑up treatment, communicates with patients and families about findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Collaborates and consults with physicians or other healthcare providers to assess and diagnose patient status; develops and implements treatment plans; may admit and discharge patients per policies.
- Prescribes drugs within statutory limits and employer policies.
- Assigns work to nursing and health care personnel, evaluates work, and provides education and supervision as necessary.
- Participates in research, population health initiatives, and interdisciplinary staff education.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates policies related to nursing and interdisciplinary care.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
- Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Ability to critically assess health research literature and apply evidence‑based practices.
- Ability to identify population‑level health trends and implement prevention strategies.
- Ability to supervise, lead, and evaluate nursing care.
- Self‑directed, adaptable, and ethical decision making.
