We are in search of a skilled Registered Nurse to provide vital lactation care. With a current registration in British Columbia and certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, you will support women through breastfeeding difficulties. You’ll collaborate with healthcare staff and engage in educational initiatives for nursing peers, making a significant impact in maternal and infant health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver education and support for breastfeeding
• Assess and resolve lactation difficulties
• Support mothers in sustaining breastfeeding
• Maintain and update patient care records
• Contribute to nursing committees focused on breastfeeding
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse status in British Columbia
• Lactation Consultant certification
• Two years of relevant experience in neonatal or perinatal
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational abilities to manage nursing responsibilities
