Make a difference at Fraser Health as a Clinical Associate in Cardiology at Royal Columbian Hospital, specializing in post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients. This role emphasizes teamwork and advanced clinical skills.
As a key player in the 2 South unit, you will collaborate with cardiac surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Your proficiency in procedures such as chest tube insertion and your commitment to patient education will be vital. You'll be responsible for coordinating complex discharges and ensuring seamless communication across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily assessments for post-operative patients
• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and diagnostics
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings for patient care
• Execute various bedside procedures as required
• Develop and manage medication plans with patients
Requirements:
• Valid independent practice license
• Background in Cardiac Surgery or similar fields
• Skilled in performing thoracentesis and central lines
• Current ACLS certification
• Experience with temporary pacemaker management
