Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Room RN to join a dynamic healthcare team serving the Burnaby community.
In this role, you will provide urgent and emergent nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions, trauma, and critical illnesses. You will collaborate with physicians, specialists, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment in a high‑pressure environment.

Responsibilities- Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization of incoming patients
- Deliver emergency nursing care for acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma cases
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and life‑saving interventions
- Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes or deterioration
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts
- Provide patient and family education during and after treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Ensure adherence to infection control and emergency care protocols
- Foster a calm, professional, and supportive environment in high‑stress situations
- Work with Vancouver Coastal Health, a leading healthcare provider in British Columbia

- Active RN registration in good standing with BCCNM
- 1–2 years of emergency or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, TNCC, or ENPC are strong assets or willingness to obtain
- Strong clinical judgment and rapid decision‑making skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care
