Location: New Westminster
Become a key member of Fraser Health as a nurse dedicated to assisting individuals battling substance use disorders. Provide comprehensive nursing care while collaborating with a dynamic healthcare team focused on recovery in British Columbia.
In this role, you will engage with clients through thorough assessments and individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include managing clinical emergencies and facilitating health education. Your commitment to ethical, person-centered care will enable you to foster lasting positive outcomes for clients living with substance use challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement comprehensive nursing assessments and care
• Administer prescribed medications and evaluate treatment effects
• Respond to crisis situations with appropriate interventions
• Facilitate educational sessions for clients and families
• Collect and maintain accurate health records of client progress
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
• Current practicing registration with the BCCNM
• At least one year of experience in substance use settings
• Successful completion of addiction training programs
• Strong communication skills for team collaboration
