Join Fraser Health as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in the Substance Use Services team. This role focuses on providing dedicated care to clients battling substance use issues in a supportive environment.
As a critical member of the Rapid ACC Addictions Clinic, your expertise will be essential in assessing and coordinating nursing care. Your responsibilities will include direct patient assessments, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This position calls for a blend of clinical leadership and compassionate client support to empower individuals on their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and provide direct nursing care per client assessments
• Administer medications and monitor treatment effects
• Manage emergencies following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in care planning
• Conduct ongoing mental health and substance use assessments
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved Nursing Program
• Current registration as RN/RPN with BCCNM
• One year's experience in an addictions environment
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and client education
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
