Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse Fraser Health

Join Fraser Health as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, providing vital nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with BCCNM standards. Assess, implement, and evaluate patient needs while facilitating essential medical procedures.

This role requires a dedicated RN with clinical proficiency to assess and address patients’ physical and psycho-social needs. You will coordinate care seamlessly with the physician and anaesthetist while performing scrubbing and circulating duties within the Operating Room. The position involves hands-on patient evaluation and intervention, making it a key component of the surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate nursing care plans for patients

• Receive and admit patients to the Operating Room

• Coordinate nursing care following physician's orders

• Perform scrubbing and circulating duties during procedures

• Advocate for patient autonomy and rights

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

• Active BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse

• One year recent relevant clinical nursing experience

• Completion of designated postgraduate coursework

• Ability to manage emergency situations effectively
