New health care pavilion with 83 beds to support maternity, neonatal intensive care, medicine, and mental health patients;

Burnaby Hospital delivers a variety of health care services including emergency medicine, intermediate-level critical care, medical imaging, internal medicine, hospitalist medicine, geriatric medicine, neurology, gastroenterology, palliative, psychiatry, oncology, outpatient clinics, and an extensive surgery program with anesthesia, orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, and plastics specialties. We are currently hiring for a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services - Operating Room team at Burnaby Hospital located in Burnaby, B.C.

Education and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
One (1) year s recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, and completion of post graduate course work and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities- Clinical proficiency in the designated clinical area.
- Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and provide nursing care through appropriate / prescribed technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions.
