Psychiatric Liaison Nurse

Fraser Health is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Liaison Nurse for its Community Mental Health & Substance Use team. In this consultative position, you will work closely with psychiatrists and nursing staff to deliver trauma-informed, client-centered care. Engage in psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention while helping to streamline service delivery within the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen psychiatric referrals from various sources

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for patients

• Develop care plans with input from the care team

• Collaborate with interprofessional mental health teams

• Document all patient care interventions according to standards

Requirements:

• Graduation from an approved Nursing program

• Current license as RN or RPN with BCCNM

• Minimum one year experience in mental health settings

• Expertise in crisis intervention and psychosocial assessments

• Strong communication skills for patient advocacy
