Support public health initiatives in Burnaby, B.C. as a Sexual Health and Blood Borne Infections Nurse with Fraser Health. This part-time position emphasizes client-focused care for those at risk of STIs.
As a member of a dedicated team, your role focuses on coordinating services for clients living with or at risk for blood-borne infections and STIs. Conduct confidential testing and counseling in both clinic and community outreach settings while using harm-reduction strategies. You will also facilitate education and provide case management for individuals living with HIV to ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and conduct sexual health testing and counseling
• Utilize outreach to engage clients in need of services
• Build partnerships with local health providers and community resources
• Implement education and harm reduction practices
• Perform contact tracing for communicable diseases
Requirements:
• Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
• Completion of nursing school including public health component
• Experience in STI testing and contraceptive management
• A valid BC Driver’s License
• Ability to work with vulnerable populations
