Make a difference in Burnaby as a Community Nurse with Fraser Health. This part-time role involves treatment and support for individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges.
As a Part Time Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will focus on person-centered care, working collaboratively with a diverse care team. Using evidence-based practices, you'll deliver mental health services that prioritize client recovery and engage with the community to foster independence and self-determination in clients. The role is critical in a supportive healthcare environment that values respect and diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and provide direct nursing care as per standards
• Collaborate on treatment plans with healthcare professionals
• Conduct assessments and monitor clients' treatment responses
• Engage in case conferences to coordinate care
• Offer crisis intervention and counseling services
Requirements:
• Approved nursing or psychiatric nursing education
• Recent experience in mental health care
• Current registration with BCCNM
• Class 5 BC Driver's License required
• Ability to use therapeutic communication effectively
