Make a meaningful impact as a Registered Nurse in Mental Health Services for Older Adults at Fraser Health. This role focuses on psychiatric nursing care, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning.
As a Registered Nurse at Fraser Health, you will provide psychiatric nursing care to older adults facing serious mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include conducting psycho-social assessments and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This role emphasizes evidence-based practices and patient advocacy while fostering recovery and stability among clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate nursing care for assigned clients
• Develop and implement psycho-social rehabilitative plans
• Facilitate group and individual treatment sessions
• Provide psychoeducation and life skills training
• Participate actively in the therapeutic program of the unit
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• Minimum one year of relevant mental health experience
• Current registration with the BCCNM
• Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation principles
• Effective communication skills with clients and families
