Elevate your nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at George Derby Centre in Burnaby, specializing in resident-focused long-term care. This position includes direct care, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare teams to meet resident needs effectively.
As an LPN under the guidance of the Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive care tailored to residents’ unique needs. You will contribute to improving nursing practices and resident outcomes by actively participating in care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess residents' physiological and psychological care needs
• Provide direct care and administer treatments
• Report any significant changes to the nursing team
• Collaborate in developing individualized care plans
• Document nursing actions while ensuring confidentiality
Requirements:
• Current BCCNM practicing license required
• Recent TB test results within last 5 years
• Proficient in English communication
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred
• Physically capable of fulfilling all duties
