Registered Nurse in Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Make a difference in patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, B.C.

Your role will focus on recovery and care excellence.

As a PACU Nurse, you'll provide specialized care to patients awakening from anesthesia after surgical procedures. This role requires clinical expertise, the ability to assess and manage emergent situations, and strong collaboration with the health care team. You’ll document patient interactions meticulously and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess condition and recovery of patients

• Initiate immediate treatment per physician orders

• Engage with interdisciplinary health care teams

• Maintain high safety and cleanliness standards

• Educate families on recovery expectations

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program

• Current registration as a RN with BCCNM

• Minimum one year of PACU experience

• Proven skills in emergency assessment

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
