In this consultative position, you will collaborate daily with nurses and psychiatrists to deliver timely assessments and interventions for patients facing psychiatric challenges. This role emphasizes teamwork within a trauma-informed framework, ensuring each patient receives personalized support in the Emergency Department and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate psychiatric referrals for service prioritization
• Conduct psychosocial assessments for comprehensive care
• Collaborate on care plans with interdisciplinary partners
• Offer advocacy services and community resource navigation
• Document care strategies and patient interactions accurately
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program
• Current registration as RN or RPN with BCCNM
• Recent experience in an acute mental health setting
• Skills in crisis management and psychosocial evaluation
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
