Location: New Westminster
Join Fraser Health as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, focusing on Mental Health and Substance Use Services for older adults. Engage with clients through crisis intervention and comprehensive care.
In this nursing role, you will deliver vital psychiatric nursing services to older adult patients grappling with complex mental health issues. You will collaborate with a diverse interprofessional team to assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies that address both individual and family needs. Your commitment to advocacy will support clients' rights and dignity as they navigate recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and evaluate nursing care of assigned clients
• Collaborate on psycho-social rehabilitative plans
• Facilitate cognitive and behavioral group treatments
• Conduct crisis interventions and provide life skills training
• Maintain timely documentation of care activities
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• At least one year in mental health settings
• Current BCCNM registration
• Understanding of substance-use treatment protocols
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
