The Surgical Services team at Burnaby Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients while ensuring compliance with hospital policy. This role supports crucial surgical interventions and optimizes patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and plan individualized nursing interventions
• Coordinate the admission process and OR care for patients
• Advocate for patient rights and safety in the surgical context
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Participate in patient care quality improvement projects
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized nursing program
• Registration with BCCNM as a practicing Registered Nurse
• At least one year of clinical nursing experience
• Relevant certifications or postgraduate education preferred
• Strong communication and prioritization skills
