Join the surgical team at Royal Columbian Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse (Theatre Qualified) located in New Westminster, B.C. This role emphasizes patient care in a dynamic operating room environment.
Seeking a dedicated theatre qualified practical nurse who can navigate pre-operative through post-operative patient care. Work within an integrated surgical team to facilitate smooth, safe surgical interventions.
Your role supports both patients and their families throughout the entire surgical process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and document patient care pre, intra, and post-operatively
• Perform essential scrub roles and collaborate with RNs
• Alert the team to any patient care issues

• Participate in quality improvement and staff meetings
• Support the orientation of new nursing staff
Requirements:
• Licensed Practical Nurse registration with BCCNM
• Completion of an accredited O.R. nursing program
• Recent acute care experience of at least one year
• Effective communication skills required
• Capability for physical and equipment operation duties
