Mental Health RN​/RPN

Position: Mental Health RN/RPN at Fraser Health
Location: New Westminster

Enhance lives at Fraser Health as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. Deliver person-centered psychiatric care and stabilize mental health conditions in a collaborative environment.

This role requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to recovery-oriented practices. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for clients experiencing serious mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have recent, relevant mental health experience and a passion for patient advocacy and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate nursing care for assigned clients

• Develop collaborative psycho-social rehabilitation plans

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions

• Provide life skills training and supportive counseling

• Maintain a safe environment adhering to health standards

Requirements:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing

• One year recent mental health experience required

• Current BCCNM registration as RN/RPN

• Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation techniques

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
