Location: New Westminster
Join Fraser Health's Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Provide psychiatric nursing care to individuals facing severe mental health issues in a respectful, diverse setting.
In this crucial role, you will work as a part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering recovery-oriented care and contributing to psycho-education and crisis interventions. Your expertise in mental health treatments and advocacy will make a difference in clients' lives. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments and implement care plans
• Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition
• Participate in team meetings and provide insights for care
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions
• Uphold safety and quality improvement standards
Requirements:
• Nursing degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum one year of mental health experience needed
• BC RN/RPN registration required
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and treatment approaches
• Commitment to patient-centered care and advocacy
