Location: New Westminster
Become a vital contributor at Fraser Health as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. Focus on delivering compassionate care to clients facing complex mental health challenges.
You will utilize your nursing expertise to assess and treat individuals while collaborating with diverse healthcare teams. The position emphasizes psycho-social rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and patient advocacy. Effective communication and organization skills are key components of your success in this environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs and develop treatment interventions
• Facilitate therapeutic group and individual sessions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
• Provide training in life skills applicable to personal and medical needs
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• One year experience in mental health settings preferred
• Valid BCCNM registration as RN/RPN
• Strong understanding of mental illness treatments
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive care environment
