Under the guidance of the Resident Care Manager and in close collaboration with a diverse healthcare team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers top-notch nursing care to long-term care residents in addition to providing emotional comfort and support to residents and their families. LPNs in long-term care have the unique opportunity to build deep and lasting relationships with residents/families/caregivers, collaborate with a compassionate and knowledgeable interdisciplinary care team, and contribute to an overall sense of home for residents.

What You Bring
Education:
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
- Current basic cardiac life support certification
Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures appropriate for the area of service
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to apply decision making and analytical skills
- Ability to role model conflict resolution strategies
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to teach and identify patient/resident learning needs
