Join The New Vista Society as a temporary part-time Licensed Practical Nurse in Burnaby, BC. This role involves implementing nursing care, patient assessments, and procedural support within a collaborative team.
As an LPN, you will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring resident safety and well-being. Working closely with the Care Team, you will document care plans, administer medication, and support residents' personal and emotional needs, contributing to their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and plan care with the Care Team
• Monitor physiological and psychological resident needs
• Perform nursing tasks such as dressing changes
• Document care and support interdisciplinary meetings
• Ensure safe environments and respond to emergency incidents
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program
• Active BC Practical Nurse license
• At least 2 years of experience with older adults
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload
