Join Clearpoint Health Network as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focused on pre and post-operative care. Provide compassionate nursing during patients' surgical journeys at New Westminster Surgical Centre.
As an LPN, you will be integral to the surgical experience, conducting pre-admission assessments and monitoring recovery. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient-centred care. Strong critical thinking and communication skills are essential for navigating a collaborative surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct pre-admission health assessments and medication reviews
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and communicate findings to physicians
• Admit patients and prepare them for surgery
• Monitor post-operative recovery and provide nursing care
• Administer medications and offer discharge education
Requirements:
• Current LPN registration in good standing
• Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience
• Previous experience in pre-admission or post-operative nursing preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS is an asset
• Strong organizational and assessment skills
