Cardiac intervention nursing at Royal Columbian Hospital requires patient assessment and direct care experience. This position serves outpatient and regional inpatient populations.
Fraser Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Day Cardiac Intervention Unit in New Westminster. Care covers transcatheter cardiac procedures, cardiac device implantation, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Responsibilities include preparation, recovery, discharge, nursing interventions, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients and plan, perform, and evaluate nursing care
Prepare patients for procedures, recovery, and discharge
Coordinate care and collaborate with interprofessional teams
Educate patients and families about care and self-management
Document assessments, interventions, responses, outcomes, and referrals
Requirements:
Approved nursing school graduation and current BCCNM registration
Cardiology, high acuity, or equivalent post-basic preparation
Approved arrhythmia interpretation course and cardiac monitoring experience
Current Basic Rescuer Certificate
Clinical proficiency and physical ability to perform duties
Support cardiac procedures and person-centered patient care as a Registered Nurse with Fraser Health at Royal Columbian Hospital.
