Fraser Health seeks a Registered Nurse for its Palliative Complex Care Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care while applying palliative knowledge and clinical judgment. The position requires communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health care professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate nursing care for assigned palliative complex care patients
Collect patient information through observation, communication, and physical assessment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and develop patient care plans
Advocate for autonomy, privacy, dignity, and access to information
Participate in quality improvement, education, and research activities
Requirements:
Graduation from an approved school of Nursing
One year recent acute medical surgical or palliative experience
Certificate in the designated clinical area or equivalent preparation
Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
Ability to communicate effectively and make clinical decisions
Apply palliative care knowledge, assessment skills, and compassionate advocacy as a Registered Nurse at Burnaby Hospital.
