Critical care nursing awaits at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, supporting advanced respiratory and cardiac care within a Level One Trauma Centre.
Fraser Health seeks an experienced, specialty-qualified Registered Nurse with a critical care background for the Intensive Care Unit. You will provide person-centered care to patients with life-threatening conditions, following British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives standards. The work includes assessment, care planning, interventions, evaluation, education, documentation, and collaboration with the interprofessional team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients using observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment
- Plan, perform, and evaluate nursing interventions and care
- Coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and delegate to support staff
- Teach patients and families about health restoration and self-care
- Document assessments, interventions, responses, outcomes, and referrals
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
- Applicable postgraduate coursework or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Physical ability to perform position duties
