Deliver critical care at Royal Columbian Hospital’s Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit in New Westminster, using advanced cardiac therapies and assessment skills.
Fraser Health seeks a Registered Nurse for its specialized 10-bed CSICU. Care for critically ill cardiac surgical and medical patients while supporting open-heart and emergency surgery cases. The unit provides ECMO, CRRT, IABP, and open-chest management.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Collect information through observation, communication, and physical assessment
- Communicate patient care plans with healthcare teams and families
- Advocate for patient autonomy, privacy, dignity, and information access
- Participate in quality improvement activities and cardiac research
- Graduate of an approved nursing school
- Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
- Critical Care Level 2 course completion
- Cardiac Surgery and recent acute care critical care experience
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate
