Provide cardiac patient care as a Registered Nurse at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, British Columbia. Apply assessment and care-planning skills.
Fraser Health seeks a Registered Nurse to rotate through specialty nursing units while completing applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses. You will provide direct, person-centered care in collaboration with patients, families, and interprofessional team members. The position supports cardiac patients at Royal Columbian Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients and plan, provide, and evaluate nursing interventions
- Coordinate care planning, discharge planning, referrals, and delegated tasks
- Collaborate with families and interprofessional care team members
- Teach patients and caregivers about health maintenance and self-care
- Document assessments, interventions, responses, outcomes, and referrals
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Complete or undertake applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses
- Ability to communicate, prioritize, teach, and collaborate effectively
