Parks Maintenance Labourer

Join Burnaby's Parks Maintenance team as a seasonal Labourer, enhancing community parks through essential maintenance work. This full-time role offers the chance to develop your skills in landscaping and construction while working outdoors until October 2026.

The Labourer position requires familiarity with tools and techniques used in general maintenance and construction. Successful candidates will possess physical strength and stamina, working effectively in teams and communicating well with the public. You will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of parks, ensuring a pleasant environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct grass cutting and park beautification

• Rake leaves and handle seasonal cleanup

• Perform litter pick-up in recreational areas

• Participate in fence construction and upkeep

• Execute related duties as needed in the division

Requirements:

• General construction and landscaping experience

• Up to high school graduation preferred

• Ability to work in varying weather conditions

• Valid Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia

• Strong teamwork and safe work practices
