Arborist Climber with Davey Tree

Become a Climbing Arborist with Davey Tree Expert Company in Carp, Ontario. This onsite position emphasizes hands-on tree and vegetation management.

As a Climbing Arborist, your role involves direct public interaction while applying your climbing and tree care skills. You will be responsible for tree pruning, removing deadwood, and installing essential support systems. A key part of your job entails maintaining tools and ensuring efficient cleanup at job sites, adhering strictly to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prune, thin, and remove dead branches in the canopy

• Install protective bracing and cables

• Maintain and operate chainsaws and aerial lifts

• Assist with job site cleanup and setup

• Follow all safety protocols during work

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of climbing experience

• Arborist Certification or intent to obtain

• Excellent tree and shrub identification skills

• Valid driver’s license with 5-ton vehicle endorsement preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
