As a member of the Quality Control team, you will be directly responsible for in-process quality control activities within multiple clean rooms, supporting the development, manufacturing, and sales of Kardium products.

Please note, this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

You will engage in a diverse set of activities including some or all of the following:

  • Planning QC resources to meet catheter and introducer production schedules.
  • Monitoring QC in-process activities daily and implementing actions to improve the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Providing technical guidance to QC personnel on daily inspections inside certified clean rooms.
  • Collaborating with the Quality, Engineering, and Risk teams to improve technical documentation, including SOPs and QC work instructions.
  • Supporting Quality Engineering and Mechanical Engineering teams with root cause investigations, as needed.
  • Hiring and developing QC supervisors and technicians.
  • Enhancing training methods and ensuring QC personnel training records are maintained and up to date.
What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a technical field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant quality control experience, preferably in the medical devices industry.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Exposure/experience with mechanical engineering/manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and US FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) requirements is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.
Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

  • $92,000 – 130,000 (CAD Annually)

The total cash we’ve listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plans (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.
