Step into a pivotal role as a Technical Quality Expert - Microbiology with Life Labs in Burnaby, BC. This role focuses on medical laboratory support and quality management consultation for a 12-month contract.

You will be responsible for leading technical quality efforts in Medical Laboratory Science, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal best practices.

Your role includes evaluating and validating new equipment and methodologies while supporting cross-functional teams. Act as the subject-matter expert, liaising with external stakeholders and contributing to performance audits and action plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality assurance support for methodologies and supplies

• Review and ensure current departmental processes comply with regulations

• Prepare evaluation protocols for new technologies and equipment

• Participate in cross-function projects and lead initiatives

• Conduct evaluations of QC data and proficiency surveys

Requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent experience

• Registration with relevant regulatory organizations

• 3+ years of specific laboratory experience

• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance processes

• Strong organization and project management skills
