Fire Testing Technician at QAI Laboratories

As a Technician I with QAI Laboratories, you'll be part of the Building Products team. We're seeking candidates with a technical diploma and two years of experience in construction testing. Ideal applicants will have familiarity with ASTM, UL, and CSA test methods to ensure compliance and quality in testing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fire resistance testing on various building assemblies

• Build and assemble testing samples according to specifications

• Interpret technical drawings and prepare test setups

• Collect data during testing and assist in report preparation

• Safely operate laboratory tools and equipment

Requirements:

• Technical diploma or equivalent in construction or mechanical systems

• Experience in testing or construction environments

• Ability to read technical specifications and drawings

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Valid driver's license and knowledge of safety practices
