Join us as a Quality Assurance Technician in Burnaby, BC, and contribute to safer food systems. This role emphasizes laboratory quality management and the drive for continuous improvement.
As a temporary team member for 8 months, you will develop and maintain critical quality assurance systems. Responsibilities include assisting with internal audits, monitoring quality control activities, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Your insights will help reduce inaccuracies and contribute to increased customer satisfaction, all while reporting to the QA Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support maintenance of quality and safety documents
• Assist in conducting internal audits and evaluations
• Implement quality control and monitor its effectiveness
• Participate in in-house training for quality topics
• Manage calibration programs and verify compliance
Requirements:
• General knowledge of microbiology and chemistry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Capable of decision-making regarding test results
• Data entry skills with Laboratory Information Management Systems
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
